  • Helpful, attentive staff. — Reviews single out welcoming staff who were happy to give bus numbers and routes around Rome, as well as general assistance.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Rooms are compact. — The lowest rating category is Rooms and cleanliness at 6/10, and one guest found the limited room space disappointing at first.
  • Check-in hours are tight. — Check-in is limited to 14:00–16:00, so early or late arrivals may need to make special arrangements.
  • First impressions can mislead. — One reviewer was put off by the dark street-level hallway, though the first-floor reception and rooms won them over.
  • The coffee station is slightly under-equipped. — A guest appreciated having a coffee station in the room but noted there were no milk pods or creamer provided.

“The suite was quiet thanks to good soundproofing, and being close to the shopping street was a real plus.”

“We appreciated every detail of our three-night stay. The location was marvellous, close to a cafe precinct and within walking distance of major sights, lovely local bars and backstreets. We were also about 4 km from St Doulagh's Church. There was plenty of food at breakfast, and everything was gorgeous.”

8.3Verified guest

“A nice hotel overall. Breakfast had plenty of options, and the croissants, butter and jam were lovely.”

8.3Verified guest

“Most of all, I loved the location and the Roman spirit. The room felt a little small at first, but I'd happily choose it again for a Rome visit, and the price makes a return booking very tempting.”

8.3Verified guest

“My first thought was whether I'd made a mistake, walking into the dark hallway. That changed as soon as I reached the first-floor reception: bright, welcoming, though small. The staff were excellent, attentive, and able to give us bus numbers and routes to the sights. The room was comfortable and spotless, and surprisingly quiet for the heart of the Eternal City. Breakfast was excellent and substantial, with fresh croissants and cappuccinos. The welcome gift, minibar, English-language Sky TV and air conditioning were all added bonuses. A perfect base for a Rome holiday.”
